London’s certified leaders in music and sport join forces with the city’s aspiring athletes.

February 09, 2018

Today through February 18, Nike London is launching their Nothing Beats A LDNR campaign to provide events and opportunities to engage and inspire young athletes around London. Accompanying the campaign is a Nothing Beats A Londoner film, a three-minute hyper-charged journey into the lives of aspiring athletes around the city, seen fending off naysayers on the pitch and flying across the water with fellow rowers.

Featuring 258 actual Londoners, and several cameos from beloved artists like Skepta, Jorja Smith, AJ Tracey, and Big Shaq of "Man's Not Hot Fame," the clip portrays what incredible star power — from sports to music and everything in between — the city has on offer. When asked what makes Londoners so unique, U.K. R&B’s rising star Ray Blk said: “It’s such a busy place and things move really fast. The mentality of hustle makes us all hard workers and ambitious.”

The campaign also sheds light on how sports have played a positive role the lives of young Londoners. Of his own experiences with football and boxing, U.K rapper Dave shared, "They were good ways to spend time and to express yourself. It definitely helped to amplify my sense of teamwork and friendship building." Now, it's time for London's aspiring athletes to go put their all into following their dreams. Take a cue from FADER cover star J Hus, and "Chase it, just do it. Stop talking about and do it, it’s that easy."
