Tiffany Haddish is now a Groupon spokesperson
The loyal customer is cashing in.
Tiffany Haddish introduced herself to American households with the tale of a grand, fantastic journey through a swamp she took with Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, all thanks to a Groupon she purchased while filming Girls Trip. Now, the coupon company is paying her back for all the free press by naming her their new spokesperson.
People reports that the superstar actress, who also hosted Saturday Night Live and starred in JAY-Z's video for "Moonlight" in 2017, will star in a commercial for the discount company to air during the Super Bowl. According to Groupon's head of marketing, many of the takes we'll see were improvised.
“We went in with a script but honestly some of the best stuff we’ve got she improvised," Groupon told People. "She knows our product better than a lot of Groupon employees, it was incredible. She could name what she’d done, the experience she had and how much she’d saved. She’s experienced a lot, she’s now sort of on staff now, part of our team.”
