Shy Glizzy on his Grammy nomination for “Crew” and what makes his city is so special

Shy Glizzy has always carried his city on his back, so it’s a blessing to see his name counted among this year’s Grammy nominees. On a recent visit to The FADER offices, he broke down why "Crew"'s nod for Best Rap/Sung Performance is not only so important for to him, but for his very special hometown of Washington D.C. He also took some time to share his thoughts about Meek Mill’s current legal situation. “They want to stop us, they don’t want us to shine, they don’t want us to be so powerful and move how we move,” he says. “It is sad to see.” Watch the full video above.
