One of the immediate standout moments on Drakeo The Ruler's recently released Cold Devil project is "Out The Slums," featuring fellow buzzing L.A. talent 03 Greedo. The collaboration makes perfect sense: what Drakeo brings in steady, subdued wordplay is magnified by Greedo's willingness to color outside the lines with his delivery.
In a new video for the song, which premieres on The FADER today, Drakeo and Greedo hit Beverly Hills and post in front of designer brand stores. "In Cavalli but I came out the slums," Drakeo reminds. "Out The Slums mixtape with 03 Greedo coming soon," Drakeo announced to The FADER over email. "So Cold I Do Em 2 coming soon too."
