Metro Boomin and MadeinTYO deny reports that a joint project is on the way

Earlier this week, MadeinTYO’s label Private Club put out a new mixtape with a Metro Boomin x MadeinTYO track titled “MadeInBoomin.” Since MadeinTYO told The FADER and others back in 2016 that the duo was planning to collaborate, fans and outlets assumed that this track was a teaser for a big project the two were cooking up. However, the producer and rapper have both taken to social media to debunk those rumors, denying that they have any joint projects on the way.

Metro Boomin posted a photo on his Instagram story writing “ANY ‘COLLAB PROJECT’ IS FAKE NEWS UNLESS YOU HEARD IT FROM ME!!” On Twitter, MadeinTYO quoted a story stating that the two announced the project writing “No we didn’t lmao.”

Boomin did put out a number of collaborative projects this year, so it wasn’t unreasonable for fans to assume this was another fruitful collab. He produced Without Warning with Offset and 21 Savage, Perfect Timing with Nav, and this month's Double or Nothing with Big Sean. Oh well, at least fans still have the one-off track “MadeinBoomin.”
