On Thursday, Black Thought, of the legendary Roots crew, dropped by Funkmaster Flex's show on Hot 97. The 46-year-old proceeded to truly go in, delivering a 10-minute freestyle while Flex made a series of hilarious facial expressions.
Black Thought quickly started to trend on Twitter, as longtime fans of the MC and young people alike praised the freestyle. But a certain cohort of Twitter saw the name "Black Thought" trending and it caused them great "economic anxiety," as L.A.-based rapper Open Mike Eagle pointed out.
"Can we also share some "white thought" or will that be too racist for y'all," one person without an avatar wrote. "There's a black rapper named "Black Thought"...Imagine if there was a singer or rapper who was white named "White Thought'," another chimed in. See some responses below.

Black Thought freestyled for ten minutes straight, and white people think black thought is a negro philosophy that would be deemed racist if they had white thought. Am I caught up?

Racists are angrily tweeting that people should then also accept "white thought" because they think Black Thought is some sort of campaign.
