Big Sean and Metro Boomin have announced a new joint album called Double or Nothing in a new profile with Billboard. The project is currently being mixed and does not have a release date.
Metro says the project is inspired by the working relationships that formed so many classic rap albums. “I was born in ’93,” he told Billboard, “and a lot of projects [from that era] had one producer, maybe two. They sounded more cohesive — better as a whole.”
Double Or Nothing is latest in a string of projects with Metro Boomin sharing or steering the production. This year he was a part of Without Warning with 21 Savage and Offset and teamed up with Nav for Perfect Timing. Big Sean released his fourth studio album I Decided this year, with lead single "Bounce Back" featuring production from Metro Boomin.
