Lil Peep is on the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time with “Awful Things”
The rapper, who passed away in November, released the song earlier this year.
Lil Peep's "Awful Things," the lead single from the rapper's debut album Come Over When You're Sober, Pt. 1, has charted at No. 79 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song is on the chart for the first time since its release in August. The new placement of "Awful Things"comes after Billboard's first full tracking week since Lil Peep's death on November 16.
Come Over When You're Sober, Pt. 1, which entered the Billboard album chart last week at No. 168, has surged to No. 38 in this week's chart. On Monday, Lil Peep's mother Liza Womach co-signed a campaign to get the album to No. 1.
Lil Peep passed away from a suspected accidental drug overdose, which police in Tucson are currently investigating. A public memorial for the rapper will be held on Saturday, December 2 at the Allegria Hotel in Long Beach, New York.
