Following the Grammy nominations, quite a few artists had things to say about being snubbed. While Vince Staples has deleted his tweets about it, Q-Tip took to Instagram uploading a few videos. "We closed y'all show and we don't get no fucking nominations?" Q-tip said referring to, referring to Tribe performing last year shortly after the death of Phife Dawg. "The last Tribe album?!"
He references reports that the awards featured no white men for album of the year nominations saying, "We were the most black cultured group out! That's all we stood on. That's what we represented." He eventually called out to other talented artists who were snubbed like Bob Marley, Jimmy Hendrix and the fact that Marvin Gaye only got one.
"You mothafuckin right I'm hot," he said.
