When it comes to making films Ava DuVernay knows what she is talking about. The Oscar-nominated director won plaudits for her work on both Selma and 13th and will bring Disney's A Wrinkle In Time to the big screen in 2018.
On Sunday, November 26, she shared a series of tips and hints that she had sent to one aspiring creative who had contacted her last year. Her tips range from big (don't let actors watch themselves back) to small (learn people's names), but all offer an insider's perspective on making a movie that will "knock it out of the fucking park."
