Linkin Park paid tribute to Chester Bennington at the 2017 AMAs
“I want you to take a moment to appreciate what you’ve got and make Chester proud.”
Linkin Park were among the winners at Sunday night's American Music Awards, which took place in Los Angeles. The band were awarded the favorite artist in the alternative rock category at the ceremony and took their time on the podium to deliver a touching tribute to late frontman Chester Bennington.
It hasn't been easy these past few months for the members of Linkin Park," Mike Shinoda said of losing his bandmate to suicide in July. "We dedicate this award to him, to his memory, to his talent, to his sense of humor, his joy. All of you, tonight, whether you’re a fan or an artist, I want you to take a moment to appreciate what you’ve got and make Chester proud."
Next month Linkin Park will release a live album, One More Light Live. The 16-track album includes recordings from the band's summer 2017 shows in support of their latest album One More Light.
