On Tuesday's edition of The Breakfast Club, 50 Cent revealed that he was approached during the 2016 presidential election by Donald Trump's team for a campaign appearance. The rapper, born Curtis Jackson, claims he was offered $500,000 by the Republican nominee, but turned it down.
The Guardian spotted the exchange, which you can watch here. 50 says he believes he was approached to appeal to African-American voters, which Republican candidates routinely struggle with. “They wanted to pay me $500,000 as part of the campaign just to make an appearance.”

“I was like, Nah, that’s not good money, ” 50 said. “I'm not gonna do that. That’s not worth it.”
