Last week, Sam Smith returned with his new single "Too Good At Goodbyes." Today, he has released the accompanying music video and it's an ode to damaged and distressed relationships.
Although Smith looks cozy while he roams around the lush outdoors all by his lonesome in a sweater, the Luke Monaghan-directed visual is meant to focus on different couples on the verge of calling it quits. (The majority of them are depicted as same-sex relationships.) It is a break-up ballad, after all.
"This song is about a relationship I was in and it's basically about getting good at getting dumped," Smith said in a press release. "It's been a long while since I've put any music out and I feel that this first single sets the tone of what is to come."
Watch all the relationships crumble at the seams in the video, above.
