Missy Elliott wasn't the only one paying tribute to herself during the VH1 Hip Hop Honors: The 90's Game Changers. Mariah Carey performed the So So Def Remix of her classic hit "Honey" with Jermaine Dupri and Da Brat, and she sang part of it on a jet ski.
"Honey" was the debut single off of her sixth album Butterfly, which turned 20 in August. In the iconic music video for the hit 1997 song, Carey plays a secret agent detained on an island during a mission. After a fabulously seductive escape, she takes off via a golden jet ski to complete her task: find a hunky man to run around with on the beach. The golden jet ski makes an appearance during Carey's VH1 performance and the legendary singer showed that 20 years later she can still complete her mission. Watch her full performance below.
When you are Mariah Carey, you really don't have to do anything but stand there and be beautiful and sing#HipHopHonors
