Sky Ferreira has shared an update on her new music plans. Ferreira posted a lengthy message with fans on Instagram on Monday night in which she attempted to explain the delay in releasing Masochism, the long-awaited follow up to 2013's Night Time, My Time.

In it, Ferreira says she is "starting to be in a good place creatively/overall” having spent "almost years" being “genuinely stuck at the mercy of other people before. Ferreira added that she's “planning on making something and putting out something soon” and that "It's only up from here."
So far in 2017 Ferreira has made cameo appearances in the new Twin Peaks and Edgar Wright's Baby Driver, for whom she recorded a cover of The Commodores "Easy."
