The album moved 180,000 equivalent album units in its first week.
Katy Perry has scored her third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart with Witness, her fourth studio album. The record moved 180,000 equivalent album units in the week ending June 15. 162,000 of those units were in traditional album sales, Billboard reports.
Witness, released June 9 on Capitol Records, is the latest of Perry's albums to debut at No. 1 after Prism in 2013 and Teenage Dream in 2010.
Elsewhere on the albums chart, SZA scores her first top 10 album with her debut full-length Ctrl entering the chart at No. 3. The TDE artist sold 60,000 equivalent album units giving her her second top 40-charting effort, following the No. 39 peak of her mixtape Z in 2014.
