Lorde released her eagerly-anticipated second album Melodrama overnight. However, for some fans the big Lorde news of the week was the rumor that she had been running a secret Instagram account on which she reviewed various onion rings from around the world.
The news cropped up online on Tuesday and last night, June 15, Lorde confessed to being the fried food critic while appearing on The Tonight Show. "I didn't realize it would be a thing," she told host Jimmy Fallon. The account has been taken offline now, with Lorde worrying "people would throw onion rings at me on tour." Off the back of her new album release, Lorde has also extended her Melodrama world tour to include a series of North American dates. The U.S. and Canada shows kick off on March 1 in Milwaukee and runs through until April 15 in Nashville. A special guest on the tour is TBA with tickets on sale June 23 at 10:30 a.m. EST.
