In "Go Awf!" Prince Airick is the king of the ball. Teaming up with Kevin JZ Prodigy, the DMV artist's latest visual shows him seated in an elaborate throne and represents his "dream world," where voguing and bright costumes are spotlighted as a means of self-expression.
In an email to The FADER, Prince Airick explained the phrase's background: "When you're performing well, you're "going awf,'" he said. "When your outfit is stylish, you're 'going awf.' All the way down to going off in a literal sense, when someone is testing your patience. I wanted to bring the phrase to song form considering that's how the beat made me feel."
