Kamasi Washington has released his first new music since the release of his critically acclaimed debut, The Epic. Having inked a global deal with Young Turks, Washington has unveiled "Truth," a thirteen-minute track accompanied by a film from director A.G. Rojas. Check out the film, above.
“Truth” will feature on Washington's forthcoming EP, Harmony Of Difference, which will be released in the summer.
The music and film first featured as part of an original six-movement Kamasi Washington suite that premiered as part of this year’s Whitney Biennial and remains in display until June 11. The full thirty-seven minute work sees Washington’s music set to artwork and imagery by his sister Amani Washington, before culminating in Rojas’s “Truth” visuals.
