FlucT’s Sigrid Lauren Is Directing Forgotten Time of the Traumatic Passions
The dance production is happening in Brooklyn this weekend.
Sigrid Lauren, one half of the performance art duo FlucT, has announced a new performance piece in Brooklyn this Sunday, April 9. Forgotten Time of the Traumatic Passions is a collaborative sound and dance production featuring eight dancers and music from Chicklette, Isolde Touch, Bebe Yama, and Greem Jellyfish.
Directed by Lauren, the production's website describes the event as "a dance production in five acts with a live score and readings."
When we talked with Lauren last year, she spoke about how much of her art is about the way we relate to the world. “A lot of it is conversation about what these movements and emotions mean to us, what they mean in our personal relationships," she said. Safe to assume Forgotten Time of the Traumatic Passions will exist in a similar vein.
Forgotten Time of the Traumatic Passions will happen on Sunday, April 9 at the Park Church Co-op in Greenpoint, Brooklyn at 8 p.m. You can buy tickets here.
