Pusha T Talks New Album On Pharrell’s Beats 1 Radio Show
The Virgina Beach rapper gave details about his new project, King Push, on the latest episode of OTHERtone.
Pusha T revealed new details about next project, King Push, on Beats1 Radio's OTHERtone with Pharrell and Scott Vener. Pusha along with fellow Virginia natives Fam-Lay and D.R.A.M., made up Sunday's Episdoe 41 of the show for a 757 reunion.
"I'm working on my album right now, it's entitled King Push," Push said of the album. "I just left Pharrell yesterday, so I'm just waiting on him to give me these last couple heat rocks."
Pusha felt it was time to get back in the studio after he spent much of 2016 helping Hillary Clinton along the campaign trail. "I spent all of 2016 trying to free my people, and we took the L on that with the Hillary campaign, it's cool," he said. "But it's rap time, and that's what it is. No haircut. No face cut. No nothing. It's just what we're doing."
"The album is crazy. It's definitely crazy," said Pharrell, describing the album as "something gargoyle-ish."
No word yet on a specific release date for the album.
