Kyoto-based punk four-piece Otoboke Beaver is named after a love hotel, has the blessing of seminal Japanese all-girl punk band Shonen Knife's Emi Morimoto, and dress themselves in the dopest of '60s patterns.
They just released their Love Is Short EP this March, but reached back to a 2016 banger, "S'il Vous Plait," for a new video. Directed by Keita Yamamoto and shot by Genki Goto, the band told The FADER via email that the video "was made with only one camera in a small rehearsal studio we usually use. We think the video expresses our cool side by shooting our playing IN CLOSE UP." Aside from making the ladies look like extremely bad bitches, those close-ups focus in on Otoboke Beaver's vigorous instrumental skill, and is kind of a shadowy ode to their explosive live performances. Watch "S'il Vous Plait" above.
