Big Sean has scored another No. 1 album with his recent release I Decided., which earned 151,000 album equivalent units in its first week, reports Billboard. Of that total, 65,000 units were in traditional album sales.
The Nielsen reports surpass previous industry projections, which predicted that I Decided. would move 120,000 equivalent album units in its first week. This is the Detroit rapper's second No. 1 project, following 2015’s Dark Sky Paradise, which landed at the top spot with 173,000 album equivalent units.
Earlier this week, Big Sean went to Twitter to thank his mentor Kanye West for signing him to G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam. He even posted a throwback image of the two posing for their first picture together. View below.
This won't be the last time we hear from Big Sean this year though, as he's promised another TWENTY88 collaborative project with his partner Jhene Aiko coming sometime in 2017.
