According to reports from the Associated Press and CNN, Iran state officials have just announced a ban on all US citizens from entering the country via an Iranian Foreign Ministry Statement published on state media Saturday.

This announcement follows an executive order signed by President Trump on Friday that temporarily bans immigrants from seven Middle Eastern and African countries, Iran being one of them. The other six countries include: Iraq, Libya, Syria, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen. The ban, which is to last 90 days according to CNN, temporarily blocks visas from being issued in the above seven countries. Already numerous people have been affected, including an Oscar-nominated Iranian director and filmmaker, Asghar Farhadi.

This is a developing story and we will update this post as new information is released.
