For the 2017 NBA All-Star Game, the league decided to try out a new format for the selection process: Fan voting is worth 50% in the weighted system, while media and player votes each account for 25%. The process is always heavily scrutinized, and LeBron James responded to a question regarding some of the more surprising individuals who were voted in.

After a Cleveland Cavaliers shootaround on Friday, James was asked for his opinions about the All-Star selections. “There’s always goofy votes,” he said. “I mean, Donald Trump is our president.” Watch the clip from the interview below.
