Moby Says He Was Asked To DJ At Donald Trump’s Inauguration Ball
The offer might have been accepted if “as payment Trump released his tax returns.”
Moby has said that he was approached about possibly DJing at President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration on January 20. Trump has struggled to find artists and performers for the event, with the Rockettes, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and America's Got Talent singer, Jackie Evancho confirmed at the time of writing. Moby revealed he had been asked about DJing at an inauguration ball on his Instagram overnight.
"Hahahahaha, I was just asked by a booking agent if I would consider djing at one of the inaugural balls for #trump... Hahahahaha, wait, Hahahaha, really?," Moby wrote. "I guess I'd DJ at an inaugural ball if as payment #trump released his tax returns. Also I would probably play Public Enemy and Stockhausen remixes to entertain the republicans. I'm still laughing. Hahahaha. So #trump what do you think, I DJ for you and you release your tax returns?"
Moby, who backed Hillary Clinton in the election and referred to Trump as "an actual sociopath" during the campaign, offered a playlist of songs he'd play instead. The mix, which you can see below, features songs from Kendrick Lamar, Rage Against The Machine, Marvin Gaye, and more.
