An initial autopsy for the pop singer George Michael, who passed away on Christmas Day at the age of 53, was found to be "inconclusive," according to the Thames Valley Police. As The Guardian reports, officials conducted a post-mortem examination on Thursday but a cause of death has not been determined.
"The cause of death is inconclusive and further tests will now be carried out," the Thames Valley Police said in a statement. "The results of these tests are unlikely to be known for several weeks. Mr. Michael’s death is still being treated as unexplained but not suspicious."
George Michael's boyfriend, Fadi Fawaz, found the singer dead at his home in Goring-on-Thames, United Kingdom on December 25. "“We were supposed to be going for Christmas lunch. I went round there to wake him up and he was just gone, lying peacefully in bed. We don’t know what happened yet,” Fawaz told The Telegraph in an interview earlier this week.
