Tonight, Oliver El Khatib has three guest mixes to share: One from DJ Premier of Gang Starr fame; another from up-and-coming producer Murda Beatz, who appeared on the show a few months ago and premiered a handful of new tracks; and a highly-anticipated mix from Bobby Konders, a scion of New York's underground dancehall and reggae scene. The episode was broadcast live from New York City, in honor of the city's opening of the OVO Store, which went public today. El Khatib also took a moment to give an update on More Life, Drake's upcoming "playlist project," which he said will be released at the top of 2017. Apparently, Drizzy is hard at work in the studio finishing the album up.
Later, Murda Beatz used his time to premiere his brand new mixtape, Keep God First, which includes collaborations with Playboi Carti, Quavo and Offset (of Migos), Swae Lee (of Rae Sremmurd), PARTYNEXTDOOR, and much more. That project is officially up on the producer's Soundcloud.
And finally, the episode closed with a set from New York's own Bobby Konders, who specializes in dancehall and reggae. Konders played his share of underground hits while also giving a nod to the OVO crew by playing a remix of Drake's hit song "Controlla." All-in-all, another solid episode.
