Lloyd first returned in May after an extended hiatus. Today, December 9, he drops his first extended project in the shape of Tru. The five-track EP features guest appearances from Lil Wayne (“Holding”), Rick Ross (“Heavenly Body”), and 2 Chainz on the “Tru" remix.
Writing about the EP on Instagram, Lloyd said, "I used to be a lost boy, without a true purpose or a plan. Wishing for birds on top of a bush, oblivious to the one in my hand. But now I'm no longer a lost boy, I woke today as man, who'll never possess the best of everything, But will make the best of everything that I can."
