After being released from UCLA Medical Center, where he requested to have studio equipment set up in his hospital room, TMZ reported that Kanye West was recording new music at his Bel-Air home. To add another layer to the reports, Pete Rock took to Instagram, sharing multiple beat snippets with one caption reading "Playing 45s in da lab with Kanye West.”
As Genius points out, a notepad can be seen in one of the videos that lists the names of classic video games such as Metroid Other, Super Mario Galaxy Pt. 1 & Pt. 2, and more. Last February, Kanye West tweeted that his next project would be called Turbo Grafx 16, named after a video game console that was released in the '80s.
