Twista is known as the rapper with the rapid-fire flow, but it's his R&B-inflected jams that have made the Chicago rapper a national star. On his latest single, the Jeremih-assisted "Next To You," Twista slows down the pace once again for a certified hit that interpolates a classic late-night groove. The video for the song, which premieres on The FADER today, finds Twista taking a woman out to an old-school diner, as Jeremih delivers the catchy hook with the Chicago skyline at his back.
"I been holding this record for a while," Twista explained to The FADER over email. "When Jeremih laid his vocals on it, I knew putting this record out was going to be all about the right timing. It's been a minute since I've made a feel good record, so I felt it was only right to put the homie Jeremih on it.
