Machinedrum, Clams Casino And More Contribute to 111-Song Compilation For The #SaveFabric Campaign
Electronic musicians from around the world rally in support of the London club.
The #SaveFabric campaign has announced the release of a new, 111-track compilation, featuring new music from dozens of artists, to support the club's ongoing fight against permanent closure.
Fabric has seen a massive outpouring of support from fans and musicians since the announcement that the venue had been shut down in September. The London club was originally forced to close when its license to operate was revoked by the Islington Council, following a voluntary shutdown after the drug-related deaths of two patrons in August.
Contributing to the massive collection are heavy hitters like Machinedrum, Clams Casino, Skream, and dBridge, plus over 100 artists from around the world. The compilation will be released on Bandcamp and Fabric's website via Houndstooth, November 4.
The compilation is the latest effort from a campaign that's already spearheaded a petition with over 150,000 signatures and raised upwards of £300,000. In a statement posted on their website, Fabric said the following:
“The closure of fabric has seen a reaction that has been completely humbling and overwhelming to all of us on the team. This response perfectly encapsulates everything the electronic music community represents.”
