Yesterday, TMZ reported that New York rapper and GOOD Music signee Desiigner had been arrested late Thursday night following an alleged road rage incident. According to the site, people in the car carrying the rapper got in an argument with people in another vehicle. Those in the other car told police that Desiigner brandished a gun.
Now, TMZ reports that after finding no evidence of a gun, the district attorney overseeing the case has dropped the gun charge as well as the "felony possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell" charge—pills, methadone, and steroids were discovered in the rapper's car—citing a lack of evidence.
Desiigner has now been released from police custody, but has been charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and menacing.
The FADER has reached out to a representative for Desiigner for comment.
