Every movement needs a rallying cry, and Nightcrashers and DJ Power have enlisted reggae legend Junior Reid to be their voice in support of Black Lives Matter on the "dub-trap" single "Warriors." In the video, premiering today on The FADER, Reid and his creative partners – alongside Elephant Man, who makes a cameo – rally in front of murals of fallen civil rights leaders while a flag-waving youth seems to symbolically promise to keep the fight going.
"Power and Nightcrashers sent me this riddim," Junior Reid told The FADER over email. "When I heard the track I heard a warrior feel and got inspiration from it. It's calling for all physical warriors fighting for human rights to come together, you understand me? Love is the answer. If you're a true warrior, you're for the people."
