In July, The Avalanches returned from a 16-year hiatus to share their Wildflower album with the world. The 22-track album built on the group's left-field, cut-and-paste sound and boasted features from Danny Brown, MF Doom, and more. Over the weekend, the Australian band dropped off a new BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix to celebrate the release of the record.

The two-hour mix is an expectedly eclectic affair, with selections ranging from the Grateful Dead to Madlib and all sorts of obscure cuts in between. Listen to The Avalanches BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix now via BBC's iPlayer.
