Black Lives Matter U.K. Announces #Shutdown Rallies

The U.K. chapter of Black Lives Matter will hold a series of simultaneous rallies titled #Shutdown across England on Friday, August 5. The group posted a video on Twitter revealing the locations: Altab Ali Park in London, Alexandra Park in Manchester, St. Peter's Gate in Nottingham, and a to-be-announced location in Birmingham. The rallies in Manchester and Nottingham will begin at 6 p.m., and London's begins at 6:30 p.m.

Black Lives Matter U.K. have also shared a video outlining the statistics of police violence and immigrant death and mistreatment that are driving the #Shutdown. Watch above.
