While Raf Simons’s exit from Dior last October seemed at first to be about focusing on his own line (and creating the ultimate dad sneaker), the iconic designer has quickly been snapped up by another label. Simons’s non-compete clause with Dior is said to have expired in July, and his long-speculated appointment at Calvin Klein is finally official.
The brand took to their various social accounts to announce Simons' appointment as Chief Creative Officer, quoting Calvin Klein’s CEO Steve Shiffman as saying, “Not since Mr. Klein himself was at the company has it been led by one creative visionary, and I am confident that this decision will drive the Calvin Klein brand and have a significant impact on its future.”
