Hak Drops Solo Album June, Talks Quitting Ratk”ng: "They’Didn't See Me Fo” Me."
“I just felt like I wasn’t being treated nicely to keep it in a hunnid.”
Hak is no longer a member of NYC hip-hop trio Ratking, he revealed in a new interview with i-D, coinciding with today's release of his free solo album June.
Hak described the reasons for his departure as creative and personal: "It's all love that I project towards them, but I just felt like I wasn't being treated nicely to keep it in a hunnid, they didn't see me for me," On June, Hak said: "This album's about solitude… self worth. It's about an artist's endurance."
Hak's final release with Ratking was the 700 Fill project. Sporting Life and Wiki, Ratking's remaining members, have both released solo albums.
