MNEK Tosses And Turns In His “At Night (I Think About You)” Video

The best way to deal with heartbreak is through bedroom voguing.

London's MNEK had his first major U.S. success in 2016 with his Zara Larsson duet "Never Forget You," which was followed by the high achievement of working with Beyoncé on Lemonade's "Hold Up." Now he's back with a video for "At Night (I Think About You)," a summer-ready bop. It's got one of MNEK's massive choruses, plus a million other hooks.

The clip, directed by Patrick Killingbeck, recalls the room to room scrolling of the video for Destiny's Child's "Say My Name," but instead of a 00s technicolor fantasyland, there's lots of anguish and much better dancing.

MNEK explained the inspiration for the video to The FADER over email.

"'At Night' is a song about insomnia so I wanted that captured in the video," he said. "For me, it was to make sure a mix of people from different walks of life were showcased going through the different stages of it. The restlessness, the frustration - the overthinking too! Patrick Killingbeck directed it and he and his team really brought it on home. Hope you enjoy!"
