Troy Ave was still at the NYU Langone Medical Center as of Saturday, May 28, where he was receiving medical attention following last week's shooting at a T.I. concert in the city. New York Daily News reports that the ongoing treatment means that Ave missed a court date set for Saturday. It is reported that he was undergoing surgery to have bone fragments removed from his leg and there is no current date for his rearranged court appearance.
Ave was arrested and charged with attempted murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon after the incident at Irving Plaza on May 25, in which one man was killed. Sources close to Troy Ave confirmed on Thursday morning that the Brooklyn rapper was grazed by a bullet in the leg on Wednesday, and was brought to New York University Hospital.
The only confirmed death following the shooting is Ronald McPhatter, also known as B$B Banga. Three others were left injured.
