The NBA Finals are fast approaching, and regardless of who ends up facing off (I endorse the Toronto Raptors), they'll be amped up by "Champion" by The Roots. It's the first, official theme song for the NBA Finals, and the track is the Philadelphia band's own Rocky theme, with Black Thought defining how to live up to the song's title in his raps: I go from tragedy to majesty/ The victory has been woven in my tapestry/ My adversary's not cut from the same flag as me/ That's why the champion's gon' be who it has to be. Listen above.
