Bobby Shmurda’s Trial Keeps Getting Postponed
The rapper’s new court date is September 12.
Bobby Shmurda, currently in jail awaiting trial on weapons, narcotics, and conspiracy charges, won't see a courtroom until September 12, XXL reports.
The rapper's trial was originally scheduled to begin on February 22 of this year but was pushed to May 11. The rescheduling was confirmed to XXL by Kati Cornell, New York's Director of Public Information at the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor.
Two of the defendants arrested with Bobby Shmurda and the GS9 crew have already been convicted, though Shmurda's attorney Alex Spiro has said their cases have nothing to do with the rapper's. “[Shmurda] was not present for or involved with any of the allegations in this this case.” Shmurda is currently suing the NYPD for false arrest.
