Yasiin Bey Shares Message Apologizing For Cancelled Shows

Lately one of Yasiin Bey's preferred modes of communication has been voice recordings. In January, he shared one of these on Kanye West's website addressing his arrest in South Africa. "I am under unnecessary state supervision and scrutiny," he declared.

Today he posted another message to SoundCloud. "For all of my audience in Scandinavia, I won't be able to make it to you this week," he says. "It's directly related to the matters at hand here for me in South Africa which I'm working to resolve."

"All is well," he added. "I'm safe; I'm in good spirits. I'm looking to reschedule these dates later this fall." He did not provide any additional information about his current situation, but his next hearing is reportedly scheduled for May 12. Listen below.
