A Grammy, a Pulitzer, late-night TV jokes about the impossibility of obtaining tickets, co-signs from rappers, politicians, and celebrities of every stripe—Hamilton has earned countless accolades since it opened on Broadway. The musical seems likely to accumulate more honors at next month's Tony Awards: the nominations were announced today, and Hamilton racked up 16 of them. According to CBS, the previous record was held by The Producers and Billy Elliot, both of which earned 15 nominations.
