"Come Thru" originally appeared on Jacquees' 19 project in 2014. Earlier this year, when the singer released Mood, he retooled the song with a verse from Rich Homie Quan. The track connects Jacquees to an R&B legacy—with references to Jodeci and R. Kelly's Chocolate Factory—and gets a lot of mileage out of candy metaphors: She can't get the Snickers from another nigga/ She know what I did with the Twix/ My ex-girlfriend can't stand her/ Cause a new man hit her with that Jolly Rancher.
