Twista Shares Previously Unreleased Song Sampling Prince

Twista dedicated his show last night to the memory of Prince. The nimble-tongued MC also shared a previously untitled track called “I Can Make You Say.” “I did this track a while ago w/ Dj Moondawg,” Twista wrote on SoundCloud. “We sampled Prince ‘Do Me, [Baby],’ I felt it was only right to drop this back again. #RIPPrince.”

Sampling one of Prince’s most sensual ballads isn’t the only way “I Can Make You Say” acknowledges the Purple One: Twista also references perhaps the most famous line from the Purple Rain movie: “purify yourself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka.”
