In 2015, O.T. Genasis reached the top 20 with “CoCo.” He quietly has another hit on his hands this year: “Cut It,” a collaboration with Young Dolph, recently breached the top 50. If it ain’t broke, don't fix it—this week the rapper released the similarly titled “Push It.” Sadly this is not a Salt-n-Pepa cover, but it shows that Genasis understands his strengths: icy beats, hypnotic repetition, terse delivery. I was mobbin’ through the beach, yeah the city by the sea, Genasis raps. Mama try to keep me home, but I love the fuckin’ streets. Listen above.
