Following his death yesterday, April 21, at the age of 57, the only appropriate thing to do today seems to be to blast Prince from the rooftops. And across the U.K., that’s exactly what’s happening: to hear Prince now, you can tune in to NTS, where breakfast DJ Charlie Bones is playing nothing but Prince until 12 p.m. GMT. Alternatively, Trevor Nelson is currently leading an hour-long tribute to the artist on BBC Radio 1Xtra.
Meanwhile, on BBC 6 Music, DJ Lauren Laverne is playing solely Prince requests. The station have also made a 2003 Prince documentary available to listen to again on iPlayer.
Listen to NTS here (available worldwide), 1Xtra here, and 6 Music here.
This is part of a wave of stations doing the same thing around the world, including Beats 1 and Minnesota station The Current.
