"I Wanna Be" summons the power of early '90s club music, but it wasn't originally intended to evoke classic vocal house. "I produced the track as an instrumental," Chris Lorenzo told The FADER earlier this year. "But when I heard the first cut I was overwhelmed with how well it worked—Katy completely took the track to a new height."
A clip for "I Wanna Be" arrived today. The video pulls footage from a Katy B show full of enthusiastic fans: it's all movement and darkness, occasionally punctured by a gleaming smile. "Some visuals of my time on the road over the last year for my latest track #IWannaBe with the musical wizard @chrislorenzo66," the singer noted on Instagram. "Thanks to everyone who raves it up with me!"
