This Infectious Dancehall Banger Is The Dose Of Jamaican Sunshine You Need Today

Irish producer Famous Eno teams up with Jamaican vocalist Alexx A-GAME and U.K. MCs Serocee and Fox on “Gangsters.”

April 06, 2016

London-based Irish producer Famous Eno, as well as being a prolific and ridiculously fun DJ, is part of the subwoofer-loving, U.K.-based dancehall collective Swing Ting. For the club night-turned-label's latest release, he puts a minimalist yet undeniable beat behind two U.K. MCs—Birmingham native Serocee and Manchester's Fox—and Alexx A-GAME from Kingston, Jamaica. The result is a melting pot in the hottest sense of the phrase, with the infectious hook blaring like a siren, hard-hitting stories warping into light-hearted bars, and the beat shimmering like metal left out in the sun.

As Famous Eno told The FADER over email: "I wanna make dancehall for the club kids, [so I can] mix some B-more or tech house out of it and get the place jumping. Three vocalists, three cities, three styles."
